Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist provides a key role in helping DELK sales department on a weekly basis meet national and regional retail customer expectations. This role is vital in maintaining primary business between DELK, our customers and an outside team of independent representatives. This role is responsible for providing support with administrative functions, marketing, and sales reporting activities required to manage an active and rapidly growing retail customer base.


  • Handle all administrative duties for the sales organization and deliver accurate on-time information as required
  • Maintain an organized and accessible file system for administrative and sales professionals
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse and active sales team that support numerous account types
  • Experience supporting sales activities for retail channels including mass merchant, national, and regional accounts
  • Have the desire to grow into an account managers role with training and proven results
  • Organize and execute all components of new account and vendor set up processes
  • Oversee and maintain accurate item sheet set-up for national and regional retail accounts including vendor portal product uploads
  • Work with sales team to develop best in class product presentations supporting upcoming line review meetings.
  • Accurately manage monthly sales reporting and assimilate sales results to internal and external team members
  • Develop, maintain and assimilate accurate sales reporting by account for Director of Sales, National Account Manager and DELK sales representatives (EX: Providing weekly sell thru data or monthly sales reports by brand.)
  • Maintain and update all product collateral sheets, sales sheets, and images including customer portal uploads for both retail and .com initiatives
  • Oversee administrative functions related to sample shipments to customers, Delk representatives, and industry trade shows
  • Ability to provide organizational support to manage, travel and attend national trade shows, representing DELK in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Work with sales team members to review quarterly product forecasts related to upcoming sales activity


  • 2-3+ years of proven experience in a customer service, administrative or sales department support role
  • Well organized and responsible with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Good computer skills developing marketing collateral, spreadsheets, and professional documents using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
